Institutional Journals Index

Institutional Journals Index (Beta Version)

Many databases, directories, and indexes capture the global research output. While many journals are indexed in more than one index, some journals are not attracted by any index or database. Institutional journals, including some in-house research journals (particularly those that publish research papers), are excluded from directories and indexes. The research published in these journals reflects local interests and Indigenous research, and reports significant findings. However, these journals remain invisible despite their acceptable contribution. The IJI captures such invisible research and makes it available on its platform. We do not measure or judge the quality of papers for inclusion; instead, we use a few minimum quality thresholds before entering them into the Institutional Journal Index (IJI). IJI is an article-level index of research journals published by institutions such as colleges, universities and laboratories.
